Both James and Joshua are Veterans and each man has had a personal PTSD journey that has been helped by using Cannabis. These two leaders brought together other fellow activists and patients to tell their stories. Among them was Peachtree Norml’s Executive Director Tom McCain, a retired veteran and retired deputy sheriff who is also a cannabis patient. Doctors and politicians who together are educating and researching the facts so they can assist in effectuating change in policy in our society. Others who joined the rally and spoke were 2018 Libertarian Gubernatorial Candidate, Ted Metz, Dr. Laura Williams, Dr. Felecia Dawson, Evangelista Yolanda Henderson, Retired Army Vet & Owner of Nuts & Berries Kevin Parker, Supporter Melissa Kimball, US Army Ranger Steven George, Erika Lynn Geuser, Musician as well as CannaWeTalk 42o’s & S.O.S.’s Pastor Peter C. All of these folks came together in solidarity to make a statement to our government and communities to help stop the 22 veteran suicides happening each and every day. A coffin filled with empty pharmaceutical bottles was created and taken to the VA Building to show the impact of Big Pharma and horrible medical treatment our Vets are receiving. The message was clear: we want our vets to have a choice in how they remedy their ailments however that may be. It was a very important day and I am glad I was part of it.
